So grateful for Elizabeth to be working with Georgia my 9 yr old for the last few months.
It’s helped her so much, she’s more confident in herself, her emotions are a lot more calmer. She has a lot more empathy and compassion towards others especially her little brother, she also wants to help a lot more around the house with a lot less complaining.
Would recommend mindfulness for children to every child to help them strive and become the best versions of themselves.

I’m so grateful to have just completed the 8 week children’s mindfulness course with Elizabeth. I highly recommend the professional online course that’s so user friendly to work at your own pace. The course is enjoyable and informative not only focusing on mindfulness for children but also to put into practise for ourselves as adults while going through the program and life.

I’m a clinical hypnotherapist and work with children and adults, it’s a good reminder to stop and look at life through the eyes of a child. I feel it’s more the adult who needs to be reminded of the skills, the children are usually the mindful ones. I also have 2 young grandchildren so I’m now enjoying looking at them with a new awareness from going through the program.

I also like how we have all the course information still available to us in our file on the website beyond the program I can imagine myself going through the program again in the future. I highly recommend the 8 week mindfulness program to anyone involved with children in any way.

Thank you

Thank you so much Elizabeth – For your support, for your time, and your kindness in sharing knowledge. This course has been so much more then I could have imagined. It has been a incredible journey, of self discovery.

Elizabeth delivers the information in such a way, I felt shifts happening within myself. I felt that I was slowing down in my very busy daily routine. I feel more present and have become aware of myself, our environment and all around me, on a different level. This course has help in my personal life, I am a mum of four and work full time as an educator, you have taught me valuable lessons on navigating through life. Here I was signing up to do this for my workplace, when it is so much more. I have

implement everything you teach us, in the class, coming from a mindful approach. We learn how to read ourselves, the environment and children and how to make the changes we need. Thank you.

I believe our children will be the change, this world needs, and this course is what helps us adults, to arm the children with tools to become the kind compassionate,

flourishing adults and to bring back the peace and love and harmony we so need.

Elizabeth hand on heart, the best course I have done.

Thank you so much Elizabeth.

I can honestly say this course has been life changing for me personally, and I have learnt so many techniques and know the theory behind them that I am loving using with the children at my preschool. I will also be beginning mindfulness classes at another preschool next term as my own business. Thank you again for an amazing experience and helping me grow my knowledge of this incredibly important life skill to teach children and to use in my daily living.

There are no words to express how I feel after I finished the course. It was one of the best learning experiences in my life. I’m so grateful and glad for all the learning experiences you shared with us. I can’t wait to start the mindfulness program at my school. And see the children benefit from it all. This program didn’t affect me only but touches my family, and now they practice some mindfulness exercises.

Workshop Participant Reviews

3 Hour Workshop – Reviews from a group of participants

Elizabeth designed a 3 hours program to specifically cater for the needs of the Drama Toolbox (Melbourne, Australia). A group of dedicated ladies that bring creative drama programs into schools and wanted to also learn how to include mindfulness. Here’s what they had to say after being asked to provide a review that included a critical comment in order to improve the workshops:

Great thinking outside the box and understanding the ‘be’ of physical and mental strategies in mindfulness. It would have been good to cover some theory more in detail; cognitive-behavioral; stress reduction theories. However, this may have impacted on our time.”

“Some great ideas – specifically for kids and adults, especially me! You’ve taught me how easily I can incorporate a number of strategies in different ways. I enjoyed everything. Thank you!”

“Great practical ideas to use! You opened my eyes as to how much mindfulness I was already doing (despite me thinking that I was doing done!) I loved your hands-on approach. Thank you so much!”
“Thank you for opening my mind to endless concepts and skills that can be used to teach and do mindfulness. Found it very helpful and I can’t wait to implement what I have learned.”

“Thanks, Elizabeth. Your session was full of practical ideas we can actually use in our Drama workshops.”

“Thank you for illuminating the differences between visual and physical mindfulness. Thank you for giving me tools to improve my vocabulary, trust my instincts, and share my energy. I would have liked more physicality in the workshop.”

Lots of opportunities to brainstorm specific practical examples that we can use.”

“Loved how you catered the workshop for our needs. The brainstorming and lesson planning were particularly useful.”

Staff @ Avoca Beach Preschool

3 Hour Workshop for childcare centres.

Here’s what the staff at Hillside Preschool had to say:

The more time I spent with you the more calm and connected I became. You are very knowledgeable and are very passionate. I loved the shape in the booklet, how important sound is and how our brains automatically connect to one another.’

Very interesting. Learned a lot. You were an interesting person.’ “Could have been longer. Eg., A Day seminar (but after work so tired).”

“I enjoyed the experience, although personally found it difficult to erase thoughts and concentrate but will definitely practice more, as I found it very interesting. Look forward to teaching the children what we have learned. Thanks”

“I found this a really amazing experience, I feel like I have more knowledge on how to help children experience mindfulness.’

This workshop was empowering as I felt I could incorporate this into our day with the children. Great information from you Elizabeth.”

“I found this great for my own personal development and wellbeing. It was interesting and I feel will help me professionally and personally. I felt I have learned a lot and have a new understanding.’ ‘I enjoyed the group activities.

This is great for professionals of all sorts who work with children and families, educators, daycare providers, psychologists, therapists, counselors, advisors, and PARENTS could definitely utilize her certifications and trainings etc. This certification just further legitimizes what we do at The Play Lab and I am glad she is sharing this internationally! I would highly recommended this mindfulness course. Word of mouth is very important nowadays as more and more mindfulness courses appear on the market. This course was recommended by another colleague-who really raved about it.
I had already done a previous mindfulness practitioner course and I have been teaching mindfulness to children for a while. I did wonder how much new information I would obtain from doing another course.
I was pleasantly surprised by what I did learn from the 8 week online course. Not only did I learn more things about the teaching of mindfulness to children but I also learnt a lot about my own mindfulness practice.
The great thing about the course is that you can clearly see Elizabeth’s passion for mindfulness and children’s mental wellbeing. Additionally, you see the depth of Elizabeth’s experience and her knowledge.
Also, Elizabeth will go that extra mile for you through the mentor sessions and FB course page. She gave me extra support in my niche areas of mindfulness and trauma and mindfulness with teens, which was above and beyond the course content.
This course is really worth the investment and is delivered in an online friendly version, which keeps it interesting. A mixture of videos over 30 recordings by Elizabeth, a workbook and access to a 10 week mindfulness programme and many other useful materials. Including articles, activities, practical assignments, quizzes and meditations created by Elizabeth.
As a teacher trainer/ mentor I actually think that every primary and EYFS teacher should be doing this course as part of their basic teacher training – and hopefully one day that will be the case.
Imagine what that would mean in regards to the positive impact on children’s mental healthiness and the world. Now more than ever we should be prioritising children’s mental wellness.

Hi Elizabeth,

I’m really loving this course and I feel it is teaching me so much, about myself, and what I’m wanting to give as a mindfulness teacher, your course also has quite an energy of synchronicity about it. Thank-you for putting it together. I’m only half way through, and I feel there has been some rather big shifts that I put down to space being created in my thinking and mindset. Thank you once again.

I highly recommend this course as it offers information on a plethora of aspects relating to Mindfulness. I started on this journey about a year ago, and even though meditation and mindfulness had already been an integral part of my life, I’ve definitely gained a lot from this course. It has helped me delve deeper into the practice, it has given me valuable tools that I now use everyday for my well-being and has proven that everything – spirituality, mindfulness, meditation, love, compassion, values etc (it’s endless really)- are all interconnected. Once that realization sinks in, mindfulness becomes a modus vivendi.

I strongly believe that in this modern world that we live in, finding practices that help us cope with the overwhelming stress, the ceaseless overthinking and the physical weariness that accompanies them, are of paramount importance. This course, and of course Elizabeth, do exactly that. They offer us an alternative approach, a healthier method, to face our lives and the world through the lens of empathy, kindness and of course love, that will eventually bring light into our paths – and those around us. Children deserve everything. If we can teach them how to tap into their happiness, compassion and full potential, it is beyond all doubt that they will shape all generations to come.

I have waited far too long to leave this review and I apologise for that. Everyone needs to know how amazing this course is.

Over the summer, I completed the Children’s Mindfulness Practitioner course. Yes, it had countless ideas and activities for children. But honestly, more importantly, it has allowed me to nurture a meditation practice that was basically nonexistent before. All of the different types of meditations (ex., mindfulness of breath, mindfulness of thought, gratitude meditation, loving-kindness meditation, sacred geometry meditation, etc.) that I experienced in the course allowed me to really find the ones that work for me. I am now able to confidently guide children through meditations, thanks to the suggestions and feedback that I received from Elizabeth after creating my own.  I also now have a regular meditation practice and can truly feel the difference in myself. It’s subtle, but I actually notice myself pausing and responding instead of reacting immediately. I believe this is from practicing mindfulness and meditation and learning how to allow things to flow through me as opposed to fighting against them.

Not only are the modules, videos, lectures and activities interesting, but they are extremely valuable and I have found myself logging back into the course to re-read something or to watch a video again and gain a deeper understanding. If you are thinking about taking this course, please do it. You’ll be giving yourself a gift as well as gifting those around you with a much more balanced, compassionate and aware individual. Oh yeah, and you will learn a ton if you plan on teaching mindfulness to children. Thank you so much Elizabeth!

Dear Elizabeth,

Thank you so very much, firstly for the kind and helpful feedback for my script, and secondly, for putting together this incredible course; it is just everything and more than what I had hoped for it to be.

I have been teaching for 18 years (on and off with some breaks to raise my three beautiful boys), and I have always had successful classes, the children that I have taught have been both emotionally and academically brilliant.  Now, I do not tell you this to blow my own trumpet, by no means at all, however for many years I have been asked by my peers, my parents, friends, ‘how do you do it?’ ‘How are your children (both whom I teach, and whom I raise), so happy? So confident? So calm?

I knew from the first day of my career that I wanted to bring kindness, joy, and light to each and every child with whom I interacted over the expanse of my career.  I knew that, despite all those years ago, the words, ‘mindfulness,’ ‘compassion’ and sadly even ‘kindness’ did not really feature explicitly in the educational formats or curriculums; I knew that I would make it my first and foremost goal to ensure that these were indeed the foundations of my teaching practice, just as they are the core values by which I live my own life.

As I have blossomed through my own spiritual and introspective journey, I have come to learn that this is indeed my superpower!  This IS the reason why children under my care have flourished in every way imaginable; love, joy, respect, compassion, kindness, and understanding all implemented through a more mindful and thus meaningful way of life ought to be, in my view, the foundation of all educational practice.  Children have the right to be adorned with the tools and systems and thought processes that will allow them to recognize, love, and cherish themselves, thus equipping them with the will and the joy in seeing these positive attributes in all living beings and our awe-inspiring natural world.

I suppose this course and the accreditation that it has attached to it will provide me with my official license to spread my word and my way of practice; with the vision to slowly but surely, alter the world to be a more loving, kinder, and calmer place for us all, one child at a time…I know that it is possible, the movement has already begun!

I am so sorry, I have gone on a little in this email!  I had just wanted to Thank You, for all of your time and heart, and soul that you have clearly put into this perfect learning journey.

With love and gratitude,

Dear Members,

I have just completed the Internationally Accredited Mindfulness for Children’s Practitioner Certificate Course designed and delivered by Elizabeth Mulhane.

A brilliant course for Early Childhood Educators, teachers & therapist with the emphasis of successfully linking to the Early Years Learning Framework of belonging, being and becoming through mindfulness and meditation .

The self-paced course was brilliant resourceful and informative. The assessments included quizzes and practical assignments , but the most exceptional part was Elizabeth herself.

A true specialist in this subject and her insight, knowledge and information shared throughout this course was invaluable.

Every ounce of personal feedback was not only insightful but positively constructive and the most important critical part of the overall learning.

As an Early Childhood Educator and business owner of Striving Minds I have gained over 30 years of professional experience in examining the whole child in the physical, cognitive, personal, socio-emotional  aspects of early childhood development and learning.

I truly believe it is important to lay the foundation of mindfulness practice during these early formative years of child’s life as it acts as a critical building block for children’s emotional wellbeing.

A sound and holistic approach to teaching children and recognising the connectedness of mind, body and spirit.

However the learning extends further to the mind, body and spirit as children begin to recognise the connections between themselves, families and communities and their learning becomes integrated, holistic and focuses on connections to the natural world.

As Educators we foster children’s capacity to understand and respect the natural environment and the interdependence between people, plants, animals & land.

This course is brilliant in its entirety specialising in the Early Years with a 10 week mindfulness based creative play program and mindfulness of eating program especially catered for the age range 3-6 years.

Mindfulness education is so important in early childhood settings as it has been scientifically proven to lessen anxiety, stress and build resilience within children whilst playing a crucial role in building children’s social- emotional development bringing about a calm ,enriching environment which will promote and nurture children’s mental health and wellbeing.

I will be forever grateful and appreciative of the knowledge and learning I gained throughout this brilliant course. My heartfelt thankyou to you Elizabeth.

Kind regards

The children I work with have particularly loved the Mindful Garden meditation. I’m really grateful to have had this experience. Thank you Elizabeth’.
